A D.O.T. physical includes a complete history and examination performed by our physicians, urine dip for specific gravity, glucose and protein, and vision and hearing testing. A D.O.T. physical is to be completed at least every two years if driver is driving a vehicle of 26,000+ pounds, if transporting interstate material, if transporting hazardous materials, and if driving a bus with a seating capacity of 15 or more passengers. Upon completion of examination, the examining physician will complete the medical examiner’s certificate and furnish one copy to the person examined and one copy to the motor carrier employer.
